This Bulgarian white wine is a blend of Chardonnay and the local variety Vrachanski Misket. It’s from Tipchenitza’s ‘Oak Barrel’ series which embraces first fill oak barrels and premium positioning.

Tasting Note

This Bulgarian white wine is like a buttery Burgundy on steroids. Classical Chardonnay characteristics (enhanced with a little of the local Muscat) yet the high alcohol and oak influence of a big red. Nothing subtle about it but great fun. 

Food Pairing

Pair with roast poultry, creamy sauces, rich fish, or soft cheeses. This is a powerful, oak-driven white built for indulgent dishes.

The Story
