Food pairing

A precise, food-first Slovenian white wine, perfect with roast poultry, pork, vegetables, and simple, savoury dishes.

The story

Ranfol is a heritage grape from Slovenia. Grown to serve communities, not corporations. Now, famous winemaker Boštjan Protner has given Ranfol the premium treatment by creating this refreshing, elegant Slovenian white wine.

Guided by his organic, natural wine philosophy, Protner draws inspiration from cheeky local spirit, Bolfenk the Dwarf. Bolfenk watches over vineyards and has the power to spoil wines which are mistreated. He rewards care and respect for the land whilst punishing greed and laziness.

See for yourself how Slovenia’s ‘King of Riesling’ has transformed this quiet local legend.

Sustainability

Boštjan Protner farms organically, producing many so-called natural wines. He says that while converting to organic vineyards is a challenge, starting a new vineyard organically is incredibly hard.
